We checked out lots of different bands as we wanted them to reflect our love of rock and electronic music. The Friction even learned our first dance for us; Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler. We used the tea rooms for dancing and everyone loved it. Instead of a seating plan or place names, we had a mix of tables inside and out, under the gazebos and in various parts of the garden so people could sit where they liked. The venue didn’t need much decoration as the natural beauty of the garden was the main focus. We added extra flowers and had tea lights in Arabian-style holders as we’ve been working in the United Arab Emirates. “We were surrounded by family and friends, both local and from other parts of the UK as well as Dubai, Australia and New Zealand – it was amazing to see them all together.” 40
