89 FASHION EXTRA T he artistic creations on a Bournemouth underpass provided the inspiration for bespoke wedding dress designer Sally Broad of Dorset-based Aylin White Designs to create this mini shoot. “I saw a fantastic photograph on Instagram of a Bournemouth art scene. It had such an impact, that I went to see some of the artists’ work and was totally blown away. I just knew I had to get my hand-painted wedding gowns and accessories photographed in front of this amazing creative space,” she explains. Paintshop Studio commisioned the artists for the Upside Gallery project which was funded by Arts Council England. Leading artists from around the UK created the original artwork on concrete pillars underneath the A338 road in Bournemouth for the town’s 2019 Arts by the Sea weekend. The project was part of an initiative to showcase the talents within the graffiti and street art movement.
