WEAR YOUR WEDDING BOUQUET If you’re looking for a lasting memory of your wedding flowers LuvShifting has the perfect solution; wearable art made from beautiful silks based on your big-day blooms. The silks are lovingly designed from your proposed floral creations and made into unique garments to show off the fabric. The range includes fabulous kimonos, scarves and sashes as well as ties and pocket squares for the groom and groomsmen. Garments are ready before the wedding and the whole process takes around eight weeks. Nia Bradley-Hobbs, one half of the couple behind Hampshire-based LuvShifting says, “We introduced the idea about a year ago and are currently looking to expand into making other things like outfits for the evening reception.” She started out in floristry as a teenager, going on to study and build up a vast range of experience in the industry, including working at some of the big-name London florists and department stores. She’s been running her own floristy business for five years and set up LuvShifting with her husband about three years ago. Visit luvshifting.com to find out more. VEGAN REBRAND Local wedding planner Siân Bowron is on a mission to make your big day not only memorable, but as eco- and vegan- friendly as possible. After launching Amethyst Weddings in 2012 Siân has helped many Hampshire couples plan their dream wedding. Now she’s looking to develop a new side to the business planning vegan weddings and has rebranded with a fresh new logo to promote the service. “In 2017 I decided to make a lifestyle change and started enjoying a vegan diet, this was a natural progression for me as I’d been a vegetarian since the age of 13. Along with the obvious dietary changes veganism comes with a lot of ethical choices with particular consideration for our environment,” she explains. “I decided that I wanted to use my personal experience and journey over the last two years to offer vegan ethical weddings as part of my wedding planning service. I’ve already made a lot of contacts with suppliers and I can’t wait to start.” “Just making some simple changes when planning a wedding can help the environment. Recycling or repurposing items to include in your wedding décor prevents items being added to landfill and avoiding single-use plastics can prevent damage to wildlife. Small things really can make a difference,” she adds. Siân will still be offering her normal wedding planning service but eventually hopes to become an exclusively vegan wedding planner.
