The vision of new owners, Simon and Teresa Henderson and general manager Lucy Townsend, is to transform the venue back to its former glory as a high-class country hotel. A major renovation is already underway and will be completed in phases over the next couple of years to create a vibrant and contemporary destination hotspot. The ambitious plans mean every part of the hotel will change over time. Divided into key phases, the first wave of restoration will be the hotel’s frontage which is being carefully restored in line with its prominent position on Stockbridge High Street. At the same time, the Cottage adjoining the hotel will be completely revamped as a bridal suite with three bedrooms, a shared living space and kitchen, perfect for getting ready on the big day or as a romantic wedding night retreat for the happy couple. All of the hotels rooms are due to be refurbished to create a modern classic look and feel, and the out rooms at the back of the hotel will also be getting a makeover to create luxury accommodation complete with their own private outdoor space. The final phase of the project will be revamping the restaurant and bar. All the wedding and function rooms will be modernised and refurbished to create chic and acoustic-friendly spaces. The project is being staggered over 12 months and it will be business as usual at The Grosvenor until each area of work begins. 10
