Wedding photographer Justine Burton and other talented suppliers, prove you can have both in this stunning photo shoot at Minley Manor: one of Hampshire’s best-kept secrets. Built in an imposing French chateau-style, the Grade II listed manor house offered the perfect backdrop for them to work their magic. A popular film location, the hidden gem has featured in a star-studded list of hit movies and is now set to relaunch as a dry-hire wedding venue. Surrounded by 80 acres of lush grounds it provided a wealth of opportunity to combine eco-friendly elements with a striking elegant look. Influenced by Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s royal wedding, Justine set her sights on making the most of all the lush greenery from the venue’s extensive grounds. “I was excited to have the opportunity to organise the shoot at Minley and they were happy for us to use foliage from the estate. I also chose to use local suppliers to dress the venue in a sustainable way.” Florist Nicola Andrews of Jasmine Flowers created an organic feel, dressing the windows purely with green foliage taken from the grounds a few days before. The tables were decorated with low-level settings designed to allow guests to see each other and chat freely during the wedding breakfast. Stylist Suzanne Killalea of ASK Weddings and Events explains, “The concept for the shoot was elegance, organic, simplicity. We wanted a timeless scheme of fresh white and green to really showcase the light airy feel of the beautiful orangery with its arched ceiling and high walls. Its original use was to store plants and flowers, so it was important to focus on this and bring the outside in.
