Your Hampshire & Dorset Wedding - May/June 2019 (Issue 74)

127 REGIONAL SHOOT T imes are changing when it comes to weddings with more and more couples wanting to tailor their day to suit their lives and loves. Now a major overhaul of ancient wedding laws could see an even more relaxed approach to where you can tie the knot allowing more alternative and open-air venues to host nuptials. Following the suggested change in legislation, a team of Hampshire and Dorset-based bridal suppliers teamed up to bring the idea to life. Photographer Darren Lovell scouted an area of woodland with beautiful natural textures including tall wispy grassland, white-bark and quirky leaning trees, which provided the perfect backdrop to channel a relaxed, bohemian theme. The bridal styling reflects the informal feel of an outdoor summer soirée featuring popular current looks, including a textured up do for the hair and coral tones on the eyes and face in a nod to this year's Pantone Colour of the Year Living Coral. Embracing latest floral trends, florist Naomi Joy Miller created natural woodland-themed florals and installations to complement the setting. Cake maker Helen Jalim echoed the rustic theme with an intricate design for her three-tier showstopper.
