YOUR TYPE ON PAPER Spring weddings are all about embracing the season’s fresh, vibrant energy and your stationery is the perfect way to set the tone. I love working on spring-inspired designs; it’s such a joy to bring this season to life on paper. Florals are always a favourite at this time of year. From delicate wildflowers to bright, mixed colours, they create an immediate connection to the beauty of spring. Adding floral elements to your invitations not only makes them stunning but also gives your guests a little sneak peek into the theme of your big day. Then there are the finishing touches, those small but mighty details that bring a stationery suite together. Think coloured envelopes, belly bands or silk knots and wax seals. These all add a pop of coordinating colour and gives a touch of luxury to your invitations. One of my favourite stationery pieces is envelope liners! They’re a brilliant way to carry your spring theme even further. Whether it’s extra florals or a custom illustration of your venue in all its springtime glory, they make opening the envelope a real ‘wow’ moment. Spring weddings are magical, and your stationery can be too. Whether you’re a lover of bold, bright designs or prefer something softer and more delicate, the season offers endless inspiration. Laura Baker | Created by Magic www.createdbymagic.com FLOWER POWER Planning and ensuring you check pollen counts is a proactive step in managing your symptoms. Finding a solution that works quickly to both prevent and relieve symptoms will help you manage ‘on the go’ and enjoy a spring and summer without suffering. A diverse gut microbiome is associated with fewer allergies, so exposure to lactobacilli and bifidobacteria may help reduce symptoms. Cleaning your eyelashes and washing your hair before bedtime will help avoid pollen and allergens rubbing off onto your pillow and causing symptoms to flare up at night. Pollen counts usually rise in the morning and reach their peak by midday, so heading outdoors later in the afternoon can help to make hay fever more manageable. You can avoid bringing pollen into your home by simply taking your shoes off at the door. If you have a pet playing outdoors, you can limit the pollen they bring in by combing their fur before they come in – or get someone else to do it if you can! This simple habit can give you a sense of control over your environment. If your eyes feel sore and itchy, try using a reusable mask for 10 minutes, like the FUSION Allergy Cooling Mask, to soothe and relieve them while reducing redness and irritation.
