Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - March/April 2025 (Issue 109)

To enhance the magical atmosphere, fairylights were strung through the beams of the barn. Our goal was to create a fun but relaxed wedding to enjoy with our loved ones, without getting too stressed during the planning process! We wanted to get married within the New Forest and to have the whole day under one roof. Knowing the British weather, the interior of the building was important to us and we both liked the idea of a barn wedding. Burley Manor was at the top of the list to view and after one visit, we both knew it was the venue for us! We loved the outside grounds but more importantly, we loved the barn and knew we could have our ceremony inside without needing to worry about the weather. The colour palette of green, white and pink was highlighted throughout our beautiful florals. Sam and his three groomsmen wore the same grey suits but the groom and his brother customised the inside of their jackets. I felt bit overwhelmed while getting ready as I couldn’t believe how the dress, veil, make-up and hair had all come together – it was better than I had expected! Also, I was so excited for Sam to finally see me in my dream dress! 42
