It was buzzing with activity all night long, capturing joyful memories. MEMORABLE MOMENTS Sophie and Ed had an incredible day filled with laughter and smiles that seemed to last from morning until night. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing; they were simply guided on where to stand or what to do, and everything flowed seamlessly. Reflecting on the day, the bride shared, “It was amazing! We were so lucky with the weather. It was supposed to rain, which had me panicking and buying umbrellas, especially since we had an outdoor venue. But the weather on the day was stunning—it felt like summer even though it was autumn. I wore a backless, sleeveless dress, and I was completely comfortable. It was perfect. With my parents being split up and family scattered across France, Scotland, and Cornwall, it’s rare for us all to be together, which made it even more special. Having everyone we love in the same place was just lovely.” As for the ceremony, Sophie admitted she was nervous but found comfort in Ed’s presence, saying, “I honestly didn’t notice anyone else apart from him. We wrote our vows, which made it even more special.” One of the day’s funny moments came right after the ceremony when Sophie walked up the aisle and leaned over to kiss her nan. It was a sweet gesture until she accidentally knocked over her nan’s walker, causing a few decorations to tumble down as well. “It was such a classic me moment—I’m so clumsy! But everyone just laughed,” she recalled. The couple was grateful for the amazing suppliers who went above and beyond to make their day magical. The caterers, Wright Choice Catering, were especially praised for their incredible service, and Leanne from Tournerbury received accolades for her support as well. The couple noted how wonderfully relaxed they felt, which was a testament to the hard work of everyone involved. Sophie also fondly remembered the morning of the wedding, spent with her bridesmaids and mother getting ready. She says, “It was so lovely and relaxing that I was a bit sad when it was time to leave for the wedding!” At her hen do, Sophie and her friends had learned a dance to S Club 7’s Bring It All Back, and she decided to include it in the wedding playlist. “We were trying to remember the steps while getting ready that morning—it was so much fun to bring that memory to life at the wedding,” she continues. “My dad’s speech was also really lovely and he had practised it every day for weeks to make sure he knew it. He also made a reference to Gavin and Stacey which is my favourite programme and Ed also made the same joke/reference.” HONEYMOON The couple spent ten days in Mauritius for their honeymoon, a destination they chose after deciding to swap their original plans for Santorini. They yearned for a more relaxing and less hectic getaway. To make their journey even more special, they upgraded to business class for their flight, adding a touch of luxury to their adventure. Just a day before their departure, they embarked on an exciting trip to La Vallée de Ferney, a stunning national park. Both paid around £15 for a thrilling 4X4 tour to the park’s summit with breathtaking views of the southeast coast. As luck would have it, they were the only two guests on the tour, allowing for an intimate experience. At the top, they were treated to a delightful bottle of wine and a cheese board, all while watching a spectacular sunset and the graceful flight of birds and fruit bats around them. It was an incredible moment, perfectly capping off their honeymoon in a way they would always remember. 33 REAL WEDDINGS
