For our honeymoon, we went on a cruise around the Mediterranean—it was very hot! We loved Venice in particular. The tables for the wedding breakfast were named after campsites we love. Adam wore a morning suit to stand out. His waistcoat was embroidered with a leaf pattern. I wore a winter gown by Maggie Sottero that was decorated with lace and had a train – I felt like a princess! My bridesmaids wore dark green dresses, and Adam’s best man wore a black suit. We liked the airiness of The Ballroom and the Manor Suite at Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa, where we held our ceremony and wedding breakfast, respectively. Further attractions were the big dancefloor and the element of nature, with the New Forest just down at the end of the drive. The team was also well-organised and flexible. Our violinist played during the wedding reception and guests had fun guessing the songs or themes from the movies she was playing. REAL WEDDINGS 41
