Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - November/December 2024 (Issue 107)

sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The food, prepared with utmost care and attention, was of outstanding quality. Many guests said that it was the best wedding food they had tasted. The delicious cake created by a lovely lady called Ros at Ros Summers Cakes was fantastic. The bottom tier was Biscoff, the middle was raspberry and white chocolate, and the top was prosecco and passionfruit. The cake had cream icing with lace detail and sage ribbons, finished with a topper ordered from an Etsy store called Ever More Charming. LOOKING THE PART The bride wore a stunning Martina Liana gown. She comments, “The three main aspects I was looking for were for my dress to be lace, fitted, and elegant – I definitely got all three with this gown. I originally planned to have a change for the evening, an excuse for two wedding dresses, but I ended up wanting to wear this gown on for as long as possible!” The bride went for satin strappy heels, which were surprisingly comfortable, before changing into beautiful suede ivory Birkenstocks to dance the night away. Tiny delicate hoop earrings along her nan’s Tree of Life bracelet accessorised her look alongside a beautiful white gold cross necklace to express her faith and surprise Ant on the day. The bride felt gorgeous, commenting, “I always say to people, I know I will never feel that beautiful again as being a bride was the best! My vision came to life, and I was thrilled with how my hair, make-up and dress complemented my features.” Anthony went for a Ted Baker three-piece suit with a sage green tie to match the rest of the theme and bridesmaids. He also wore his grandad’s cufflinks, which looked a lovely touch. He also had much tailoring done on the suit, ensuring he stood out. The wedding party wore light beige suits, all slightly different to reflect personal style. The two bridesmaids wore sage green one-shoulder gowns, and both looked gorgeous with their hair in a half-up-half-down style. The bride wanted them to have as much say as possible in choosing the look to ensure they felt comfortable and happy the whole day. TIME TO CELEBRATE The couple had a fantastic live violinist before, during and after the ceremony as well as throughout the drinks reception. Kaana is an avid Bridgerton fan, so the violinist played many numbers from the hit TV show and other classics, all chosen by the couple. She was absolutely amazing, and guests loved this personal touch. The pair had an excellent DJ for the evening reception who gave them full control over the evening entertainment and listened to what they wanted. The bride comments, “We have been to so many weddings where the music hasn’t necessarily kept people on the dancefloor. So, we created our own playlist, which was fun to do together, and then sent it to Steve to compile everything.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS Ant felt confident that everything would go to plan because they were so organised and had full faith in the venue. He says, “The wedding forecast was great, so I was relieved! I felt strange being apart from Kaana the night before, so I was extra excited to see her walk down the aisle! It was special as we had two ceremonies. Our first was the legal ceremony, and the second was a religious blessing, which we compiled with our Vicar. The food was amazing, and we had such a fun evening reception. There were so many things that stood out!” Kaana was nervous about something going wrong, but everything went smoothly; she had nothing to worry about. “I just couldn’t wait to finish getting ready and get going as I wanted to see Ant and enjoy our REAL WEDDINGS 47
