Based on nine acres, The Shuttleworth Swiss Garden was created in the 1820s by Lord Ongley. With picturesque views, it’s a beautiful venue for a ceremony with 70 people in either of its two licensed venues, including The Swiss Cottage or The Grotto & Fernery. The venue can also arrange a canapé and drinks reception on the perfectly manicured lawns. Built in 1872, Shuttleworth House offers an unrivalled wedding experience. Take exclusive use of the Jacobean-style country house, and choose between an array of grand and finely furnished rooms to hold ceremonies with 200 people, wedding breakfasts for 150 loved ones and evening receptions. Shuttleworth Collection is home to The Hangar 3, also known as Richard Shuttleworth’s hangar. With a backdrop of historical Shuttleworth exhibits and the hangar doors wide open on a summer’s day, it does have the wow factor. This space is suitable for wedding receptions for up to 130 guests (not available for dry hire). If couples have more than 150 guests, couples can hire a piece of the parkland and hire marquees or tipis from a different supplier.
