During a party, they got talking and Nicky immediately knew they shared a great connection after a romantic weekend in Henley-on-Thames. During a dinner on Valentine’s Day in 2015, she had a huge surprise waiting for Tim. She says: “It wasn’t a leap year and I didn’t want to wait any longer, I waited for dessert then presented him with a ring and a card with, ‘Will you marry us?’ on it and a picture of my son and me – he was very surprised.” The wedding date was set for May 12 th , 2019, and the planning began.
