These were in an array of bodice-styles with a palette of three shades of grey. Each girl was wearing her own, individual dress but they all blended seamlessly. We had an amazing singer called Lilac Sheer. She sang a few songs during our ceremony which were all very emotional and afterwards performed during the drinks reception. For our wedding breakfast and evening, we had a band called Creation, which consisted of three singers, a brass player, drummer and the DJ, who all played together to create a mix of live music with DJ elements too. It was perfect and we had so many positive comments from guests afterwards. On the day we both felt pretty nervous to begin with, but we soon eased into it all once the ceremony was finished. The main feeling we both came away with at the end of the night was an overwhelming feeling of love and happiness, as cringe as it sounds! Something that was particularly touching was Chris’s stepfather building us a chuppah (a canopy) that we were married beneath, which also had my late uncle’s prayer shawl attached. Later on, in the day, we did the Jewish and Israeli dancing and the crowd went wild for it! As many of Chris’ friends and family had never been to a Jewish wedding before, they were loving the electric atmosphere of it all – especially watching Chris getting tossed high into the air on a sheet of material! 46
