 BEAUTIFUL BARNS 27 The Barns Hotel is situated in a beautiful riverside location with views over the River Great Ouse and boasting three-and-a-half acres of landscaped gardens. The stunning 13 th -century Tithe Barn, complete with original features and its bar, is nestled in the main gardens overlooking the 16 th -century house. It accommodates 90 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and has easy access to the outside for reception drinks. For the evening reception, the barn can host 150 guests with access to the riverside terrace. The bride and groom can stay in a beautiful suite and guests can take advantage of 49 well-appointed bedrooms. There’s even a private mooring allowing the nearlyweds to arrive by boat to make an unforgettable entrance. With countryside views as far as you can see, The Barn at Alswick is situated in a peaceful setting for any wedding. The tree-lined driveway sets off the rural feel and the venue is a gorgeous blank canvas for couples to put their stamp on. Complete with a vaulted ceiling adorned with wooden beams and large windows, the barn is always full of natural light and has plenty of snug areas to escape to. The dressing room is the perfect place for the bridal party to relax and get ready for their special day. The large courtyard out the front of the premises is not only perfect for drinks and canapés receptions but a wonderful sunny spot for photographs and garden games with friends and family. Ceremonies take place within the Main Barn with the option to use the main entrance to the barn as well so that guests can be seated outside. After the ‘I dos’, this space gets transformed for the wedding breakfast. Couples are allowed access to the stunning private gardens on Alswick Hall with rose arches and orchards and so much more – lovebirds are spoilt for choice and guaranteed beautiful pictures. The newest additions to the venue are the glamping tents with accommodation for a total of 14, including the newlyweds in the bridal tent, which is the perfect end to a wedding day in the countryside.
