Your Herts & Beds Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 77)

PHOTOGRAPHY 55 This photo was taken at one of the most enjoyable weddings I’ve been part of. The image encapsulates the fun, energy and laughs that were on constant display throughout the day and serves as a reminder of how great it was to work with this brilliant couple. I enjoy photographing moments of action and people’s reactions and I was really pleased to have captured the combination of competitiveness, anticipation and nerves on the faces of these ladies. They weren’t taking any prisoners in their attempts to catch the bouquet.  PICTURE PERFECT Must-have shots by our local pros ANDREW SADL ER , ANDREW SADL ER PHOTOGRAPHY This bride wasn’t very comfortable posing so we came up with the idea of her striding across the field to capture the beauty of the dress against the fantastic skyline and landscape. She was really pleased with it, especially as her friend described her as looking like a character from a Jane Austen novel! First dances don’t get much more epic than this! The groom had no regard for his expensive suit trousers with this killer knee slide. Fortunately the photo journalist in me was poised and ready with my off camera flashes to capture the moment in an instant. I had a brave couple who knew the potential of the portraits I could get in the rare significant snowfall. It was -5C and my fingers were turning blue but we all braved it for 15 minutes and I simply love this natural looking frame of the bride huddled into the groom. I love the comedy in this natural moment of the couple failing spectacularly to balance pencils on their upper lips to mimic the infamous framed portraits at the Barns at Redcoats.
