Your Herts & Beds Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 77)
COME Natasha and Jon’s big-day adventure started at Woburn Abbey Images courtesy of Becky Kerr Photography N atasha and Jon were both studying at university when a mutual friend hosted a Halloween birthday party. “I went dressed as Princess Jasmine and Jon was dressed as a wolf,” says Natasha. It was towards the end of the night that they got talking. “It was snowing and there were no taxis. We decided to walk and Jon gave me a piggyback. It was a wonderful way to get to know each other,” she says. The following week they went for their first date and the rest is history. Four years later Jon booked a surprise trip to Venice. “We stayed in a gorgeous hotel that overlooked the city. Jon proposed in the gardens whilst the sun was setting – it was magical!” she recalls. “The best part was that my engagement ring was given to Jon by my parents. The main stone was the first diamond my dad had bought for my mum and the two adjacent diamonds were from each grandmother. It was very special!” Natasha and Jon wanted their wedding to be an adventure, fun and glamorous so... “We hosted our ceremony in Woburn Abbey, followed by afternoon tea and that evening around 85 of our guests flew to Dubai with us where had a few days of celebrations. Heathrow security was filled with everyone from our wedding – it was the most surreal chaotic experience!” Natasha Patki, married Jon Benton, both 26, at Woburn Abbey on 30 th November, 2018. fly WITH me 45 REAL WEDDINGS
