MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME… The Priory Barn set the scene for Ellen and Harry’s festive nuptials Images courtesy of Rafe Abrook Photography Ellen Ferris, married Harry Harvey, both 26, at All Saints Chruch, followed by a reception at The Priory Barn on 22 nd December, 2018. E llen and Harry are true childhood sweethearts. They met through a mutual friend at the tender age of 13 and started dating. Sadly Ellen was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 14 so they broke up so she could focus on getting better. They remained friends throughout and at 17 they got back together. “We started off with a classic cinema date, were an item through university and have been together ever since,” says Ellen. Roll on a few years to a very special occasion. “We love Christmas, and always open a present each on Christmas Eve. Harry picked a gift to give me and when I opened it, it was an engagement ring! He’d put the ring box into a bigger box, so I had no idea it was about to happen,” she says. “Luckily, the gift I was about to give Harry was a bottle of champagne, so we cracked it open to celebrate.” Two years later their big day arrived and here Ellen tells us more about it…  REAL WEDDINGS 39
