Your Herts & Beds Wedding - October/November 2019 (Issue 76)
We bought small gifts for the children including a singing baby shark, a bottle of bubbles, and a Lego mini figure. Our table numbers were printed on the same cards as our invites, so they all had the same skull and flower design. We gave our guests fridge magnets of their names made from wood and painted with glitter as favours. We wanted something for people to keep and we didn’t need to do separate place names. For our centrepieces we bought vases and filled them with cherry blossom covered in fairylights. We left tags on them saying that guests could take them home and they all disappeared. My bouquet and other arrangements were made from silk flowers. I wanted it to be brightly coloured to complement the boy’s ties and I loved it. We placed two large milk churns filled with flowers at either side of the table plan near the entrance of the marquee. Our cake looked insanely awesome and tasted amazing. We had three different tiers of sponge cake – coffee and walnut, chocolate and Victoria sponge. REAL WEDDINGS 55
