REAL WEDDINGS 45  BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL Rosie’s bouquet was brimming with bright Singapore orchids that were surrounded by a variety of complementing blooms and similar flowers were used throughout the décor. “For our centrepieces we had a mixture of glasses in different colours and sizes that were brimming with flowers in peacock shades. These stood on mirror plates and were surrounded by fairylights,” says Rosie. In the ceremony room, the aisle was lined with pom poms in purple, blue and green and jars filled with fairylights and bright wreaths looked striking against the bare brick wall. The confetti basket, card box and guest book also followed the rich colour scheme and the table plan was created using different coloured teardrop-shaped cards that were hung from a beautiful metal peacock. THE PERFECT DAY Guests were given organza bags for their favours containing chocolates, un-popable bubbles, love hearts and a pre-wedding photo of the couple and the finishing touch was added to the tables with bright petals being scattered on the white tablecloths. The theme continued through the cake. “My mum made it to look like a peacock’s tail cascading down the tiers. We opted for raspberry and white chocolate and it tasted amazing,” Rosie says. Loved ones were entertained throughout the day with a range of outdoor games, the selfie mirror went down a storm and a DJ filled the sparkling dancefloor throughout the night. “Our day was perfect. It went by so fast though so I’d advise to soak up every single second. No one knows what you’ve planned so if it doesn’t happen it doesn’t matter, just relax and enjoy.”
