Your Herts & Beds Wedding - Feb/Mar 2019 (Issue 72)

My dress was low key and a little bit boho – perfect for sitting on a straw bale! I styled it with a veil and a pearl and crystal hair vine. I was so happy with my hair and make-up – it stayed in place all day. My hair was styled so that I could take half down later for a more relaxed feel. Our bridesmaids wore pastel grey dresses by D’zage with nude shoes. They looked gorgeous. Joe wore a tailor-made suit from Moss Bros along with a different coloured waistcoat to the groomsmen. His dad was best man and wore the same as Joe. The ceremony venue was the obvious choice as it’s been my village church since I was four years old. The traditional element was something we both wanted. Flowers were a big deal for us. I loved the church arch and of course the bouquets and buttonholes. Being in a field at my family home meant that we could plant lots of blooms ahead of the wedding and we encouraged some to grow up a big old pergola to create an arch. 58
