Charlotte and Joe created a magical wedding wonderland for their country garden-themed wedding Images courtesy of Rafe Abrook Photography Charlotte and Joe met through one of her old school friends and it was down to his persistence that they finally became an item. “My friend was at the same university as Joe. I went to visit for her birthday and it was on that night out that we first met,” says Charlotte. “Despite living two hours away, he wouldn’t leave me alone after that so I gave in a year later.” The duo moved in together, with Joe popping the question at home. “It was a massive surprise as I’d just asked him to go and read the electricity meter and he came back with a ring,” she says. “He’d managed to get the ring made without me knowing several months before.
