Gemma Greaves, Jessica’s sister, worked her artistic touch and used a floor-length mirror to write the table plan on. Each table represented a country we had visited as a couple: Ibiza, Amalfi Coast, Barcelona, Thailand, Lake District, Croatia and Krakow. A saxophonist performed drinks during the ceremony to keep guests entertained, as did a live band from Birmingham, Urban Jukebox. A DJ set from our neighbour Barry Williams kept the party going. Our florist, Victoria + Claire, nailed the brief with stunning dried flower bouquets and buttonholes. The standing flower arch, created with a mix of silk and faux foliage, was a focal point behind the top table. Charlotte’s mum and nan created the beautiful centerpieces that ran down the middle of the long wooden tables. They featured eucalyptus, bunny tails and bus leaves, separated by floating candles. I wore a Justin Alexander dress and added a minimal gold necklace, earrings, and bracelet to finish off the look, focusing on the gown’s upper part. Charlotte wore a low-back gown with a buttoned train and delegate details. Guests enjoyed a selection of brownies, cookies, doughnuts and sweets. REAL WEDDINGS 47
