We had a band called Sink the Beat, and they were fantastic! The dancefloor was packed all night, and many guests commented on how great they were. We also had a photobooth, which made us laugh a lot when we looked at the pictures. James wore a Marc Darcy suit from Claytons in Bedford with a waistcoat to differ from the groomsmen. They wore red ties and pocket squares to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. The bridesmaids wore full red dresses with a cowl back, and all looked amazing! I found a beautiful off-the-rack dress named Dayse from Wed2B that fit perfectly and showcased my back. To stay comfortable while dancing, I wore white Dr Martens. I borrowed a bracelet from my mum for something old, while my something new was an alpaca charm from my maid-of-honour. I also had a tiara from James’ stepmum for my something borrowed, and I wore matching earrings and a necklace that belonged to James’s mum for my something blue. I work in engineering, so I spend most of my days in dirty jeans and a T-shirt. It was great to be really girly for the wedding day! REAL WEDDINGS 41
