Your Herts and Beds Wedding - August/September 2024 (Issue 105)

I chose a beautiful dress with floral lace sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, a mid-cut back and a flowy skirt. To add some volume, I wore a hoop underskirt underneath. The moment I put it on, I knew it was the one. I kept the accessories simple with a sparkly headband, a beautiful necklace and diamante shoes. To create a warm and inviting atmosphere, we used various cylinder jars with candles as our centrepieces. These were placed on wooden log slices, each draped with a leaf garland. We make our table names unique by incorporating the names of memorable locations we have travelled to, including where Joe proposed. Many influenced by our deep appreciation for the great outdoors, stemming from our passion for hiking and nature. Our goal was to organise a wedding without any stress, but it didn’t go exactly as planned because I had to take on the role of our wedding planner due to our budget. However, we managed to make it work! There were a couple of amusing moments, but the one that stood out to me was when the best man showcased some laminated sheets and cracked jokes about Joe during his speech. Their friendship went way back, so he had many hilarious stories to share. 41 REAL WEDDINGS
