Your Herts and Beds Wedding - October/November 2023 (Issue 100)

This sustainable shoot at Edworth Manor is full of rustic touches BEAUTIFUL After several months of planning this fun-packed day, a friendly and talented bunch of like-minded people came together to create this stunning shoot. Edworth Manor is a working family farm in rural Bedfordshire, which provided a fantastic backdrop with a 12th-century church on-site, a three-hundred-year-old restored Granary Barn and the most amazing surroundings imaginable. Shoot coordinators Caroline Acaster at Caroline Acaster Photography and Sarah Dempster at The Original Flower Hut aimed to highlight the importance of sustainability, with their main focus being to include as many local suppliers as possible. With at least 17 inspiring creatives being based within a 10-mile radius, they ticked that box! Caroline says, “My photographic vision for the shoot was to create a gallery of images that reflected a relaxed and fun vibe with plenty of colour. I embrace an unobtrusive approach and a bubbly personality, which enabled me to bring out the most authentic moments of love and connection throughout the day.” Lisa Lyons Bridal created the most spectacular wedding ensemble for the bride, a boho-inspired crochet lace top with scooped back and button detail paired with a soft A-line georgette skirt with a slit and puddle train. Rewritten Bridesmaids and Vintage Suit Hire were involved with dressing the rest of the party. The team was adamant that all the flowers should be British grown and the colourway would be spring brights, so the florist sourced blooms from three local flower farms. The armfuls of tulips, ranunculus, narcissi and hellebores paired with a few sprigs from the resident flowering pear tree most definitely didn’t disappoint! Baker Dawn, a contestant from The Great British Bake Off 2022, was thrilled to join with her tasty creations for the patisserie bar, including the spectacular macaron tower. Her late grandparents had close links to the area, which made her involvement even more meaningful. The day was finished to perfection with a few rounds of welly wanging, indeed the most sustainable wedding entertainment. Bold and www.carolineacasterphotography.co.uk REGIONAL SHOOT 45
