Danielle and Adrian met at a charity soapbox race. “Adrian said that he spotted me when he went flying down the hill on his fox cart,” Danielle tells us. “He decided to make a move by borrowing a friend’s dog as an excuse to walk over to me. We exchanged a few words but we didn’t speak for long. He plucked up the courage to come over to me again at the end of the day and ask me for my number. From then on, we became best friends instantly, and after a couple of dates our relationship began.” Adrian proposed during a mini-break at Ellenborough Park hotel in Cheltenham. “We decided to take a walk around the stunning grounds and spotted a large hanging swing suspended from one of the trees,” Danielle explains. “Adrian suggested that he get some photographs of us on it for my Instagram page. Once we were seated, I went to pass Adrian my phone and he said he would take one on his phone for me instead. Then, to my surprise, he got down on one knee and proposed! There was no one around and it was such a magical moment. I was shocked because we had the hotel stay booked for three months and I had no idea that he was going to ask me to marry him.
