COTSWOLD RUSTIC CAKES Maryanne Stefanovic runs this small bespoke cake business based in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire specialising in floral buttercream wedding and occasion designs. Her carrot and walnut cake printed with an edible hummingbird design is topped with pink florals and meringue kisses and was caught on camera by Josie Cope from The Little Studio Photography (www.instagram.com/ thelittlestudiophotography) at Cotswolds-based wedding venue Sezincote (www.sezincote.co.uk) alo ngside her tiered wedding cake. The top tier of this statement piece features carrot and orange flavours with cream cheese frosting while the bottom tier includes a zesty lemon with passionfruit curd, buttercream stencil and gold leaf. Maryanne has also developed a raspberry and white chocolate cake perfect for an intimate wedding. The raspberry sponge is topped with layers of raspberry conserve and is decorated with white chocolate buttercream, chocolate pieces, foraged blossom, bright roses, macarons and meringue kisses. One of my favourites of hers has to be the carrot and walnut sponge decorated with layers of cream cheese frosting, walnuts, pink American buttercream, carnations and roses. Finally, she makes a mean chocolate mud cake with coconut and raspberry buttercream!
