Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding- December 2020/Janaury 2021 (Issue 24)
I teamed my dress with a faux- fur bolero for the ceremony and a furry jacket for theoutdoor photos. I added some sparkly earrings and an elegant silver headpiece. One of my bridesmaids chose my veil for me and paid for it as my wedding present which was so special. We managed to find one that matched the lace on my dress at the bottom! I also wore a stunning diamond bracelet which was a 30th birthday present from my grandparents. Our sweetie table went down a treat! I made our two-tier naked cake with lots of cupcakes displayed underneath. They were all topped with red and white roses and displayed against a sparkly silver sign saying ‘together forever’ and looked, and tasted, incredible. We loved the fairylights that were draped from the ceiling creating a romantic ambience. We also had candles displayed on the tables in the barn and rose petals scattered on the floor. I tried on four dresses before finding the one. I was with my mum and we both cried when I walked out of the dressing room! It had a beautiful lace design on the bodice and featured a long, full skirt with the shape suiting my figure. I added a sparkly belt that was sewn on. We decided that we wanted James and his groomsmen to wear navy tailcoat suits and he had a red rose rather than a white one in his buttonhole. They wore grey and cream waistcoats and cravats with white shirts. We had a flower arch made using red and white roses as the backdrop for our ceremony which looked amazing. REAL WEDDINGS 35
