I had an idea of the style that I wanted beforehand but I knew that I would find it hard to decide on one dress. I was offered the opportunity to meet Suzanne during a designer day so that she could help me create my dream design. She was so lovely and after trying on a few dresses, I decided to take the bodice from one gown and team it with the skirt from another adding some lace and beading on the bodice. Suzanne sketched the dress for me so that I could see what it would look like when it was finished and I couldn’t have been happier with the result. We also hired a photo booth which is always a hit at weddings so for us it was a must. Our guests were in and out of it all night and we were given an album with a copy of all the photographs along with messages from our guests which is lovely to look back on. It was so meaningful to have all of our friends and family gathered together in one place celebrating with us, from our three-year-old daughter to my 94-year-old grandad. We couldn’t pick a specific moment that stood out because the whole day was just perfect from beginning to end. We hired a live band to entertain our guests who performed an acoustic set in the orangery during the drinks reception and then did a full set during the evening – they were brilliant. We wanted to see everybody up dancing and having a great time. A friend recommended them to us because they had seen them before and they did not disappoint. They performed our first dance song for us which was beautiful. “All of our chosen suppliers were brilliant. Our photographer, Lydia, made us both feel so comfortable because neither of us is a natural in front of the camera and we were both a bit worried about how our photographs would look but she put us both at ease and captured every important moment and detail of our day. Our videographer, Darren, was also brilliant. We really wanted to have our day recorded but didn’t want cameras in our faces all the time but we didn’t even know that he was there, he was so discreet. Now we have the most beautiful wedding video to watch.” - Clare 36
