CAKES 49 VANILLA POD BAKERY Pia Cato is the founder of Vanilla Pod Bakery, a Gloucestershire-based cake company specialising in luxury wedding cakes and extra-special celebration cakes all handmade to order. “These inspirational cake images were taken as part of a styled photo shoot in collaboration with Lauradana Day of Wedding Creations and the beautiful images were by caught on camera by the talented Captured by Katrina Photography.” - Pia “A stunning trend that I think we will start to see more and more for next year is the luxe boho feel. Think pampas grass, dried flowers, delicate peach tones, natural colours, burnt oranges and yellows, hints of gold, soft textures and patterns. For a dramatic effect, there'll be touches of black too. I am excited about this trend and designed this sketch over the lockdown period to show my couples." - Pia 07828 668 932 | https://vanillapodbakery.com Insta-piration: www.instagram.com/vanillapodbakery COTSWOLD CAKES Pam Johnson is the owner of Gloucestershire-based Cotswold Cakes specialising in wedding cakes and cupcakes finished with fondant icing, buttercream or chocolate. She also offers gluten-free and dairy-free varieties along with vegan recipes. “I designed this cake during the lockdown period. It uses an acrylic cube as a separator in between the square cakes. I used royal icing to create an image on the front and back.” - Pam “I have also been experimenting with some new cake moulds to make individual designs such as this pyramid-shaped ones which consists of the cake inside covered in fondant and elegantly decorated. The geo-hearts appear to be the latest trend for wedding favours or dessert tables instead of cupcakes. They are usually made with chocolate sponge and buttercream mix (the same used to make cake pops) and the outer case is coloured with white chocolate and beautifully decorated.” - Pam The other mould that I have recently purchased is a fir cone one which creates individual naked cakes. I made lemon sponge ones filled with lemon buttercream for something a bit different.” - Pam “This creation features a monogram of the couple on a black cake with a glitter-base cake and two lustre-painted layers, finished with contrasting black ribbon detail. I decorated it using a sugar peony and black sparkly berries and I love the outcome." - Pam 07759 144 317 | www.gloucestershirecakemaker.co.uk
