AND BEAUTIFUL The Barn at Upcote provided the stunning backdrop to this bold, colourful wedding Images courtesy of Still Light Photography All things bright T he couple met when Ian was the manager and coach of a ladies’ football team. “Liss contacted me via the club’s website expressing a desire to come along to a training session,” he tells us. “When I first saw her, I was immediately attracted to her – she’s a beautiful girl with a great figure and is a pretty good footballer, too!” They became engaged in a surprise proposal at Mupe Bay in Dorset. “Liss and I had visited nearby Lulworth Cove a couple of times during our relationship so it’s very special to us,” Ian says. “We had planned a trip there for Christmas 2017 and I wanted to propose on 28 th December. After several shopping trips, I bought a ring and, as we walked up the hills and cliffs on our visit there, I had to constantly check that it was still in my pocket! When I asked Liss whether she would marry me, she cried and cried – I eventually had to ask her for an answer which, thankfully, was ‘yes!’” Here, the couple tell us about their special day at The Barn at Upcote.
