Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding- June/July 2020 (Issue 21)

George and his groomsmen looked dapper in their blue three-piece suits! I saw an old work colleague’s wedding photographs at Owlpen Manor on social media and fell in love with the Cotswold stone manor house and gardens - I just had to convince the groom! We booked a visit and while we were there, they said they were going to offer a two-day wedding over the upcoming August bank holiday so our date was decided for us, it was meant to be. The venue sits in its own private country estate surrounded by hills and woodland. There’s a church located nearby, a marquee, a barn and an area for wild camping with lots of additional holiday cottages on-site. I already knew that our photographer, Sheryl, was the one for me because I’d been following her on social media for a year since a friend shared her pictures. She is so talented and by some miracle, our date in ten month’s was available, even though she was fully booked for most of the year! I fell head-over-heels in love with my Cinderella -inspired dress by Sottero & Midgley. It was a ballgown and as soon as I tried it on with my maid-of-honour, I just knew it was the one for me. My bridal shoes were crystal-encrusted and had ‘I do’ printed on the bottom. Our flowergirls looked so cute in their ivory dresses and sparkly trainers! They had a great time running around the grounds and playing. “The photographer is one of the most important big-day decisions because after you have spent lots of money on the wedding and the day is over, all you have left at the end is your pictures. Looking back through beautiful ones will help you relive the memories.” - Daisy 34
