THE GREAT TYTHE BARN, TETBURY, GLOUCESTERSHIRE This Grade II listed 16 th -century Cotswold stone barn is located within walking distance from the historic market town of Tetbury and is home to many original features, such as exposed stone walls and wooden oak beams, while being enhanced with modern-day luxuries like underfloor heating and atmospheric lighting. Its tall glass entrance doors flood the barn with natural light and allow for picturesque views of the private courtyard. The venue offers couples flexibility when planning their special day. Ceremonies take place in a choice of six locations. For up to 200 guests, seated under a romantic canopy of fairylights, is the area of the barn called Estcourt. Up to 100 loved ones can be seated in Shipton, up to 65 in Newnton Gallery and up to 60 in the elegant Tythe House Orangery. The outdoor gazebo holds up to seven witnesses inside, with an unlimited number of guests watching from outside on the Tythe House Lawn. The wedding breakfast takes place on the ground floor of the barn for up to 200 guests, with the choice of a three-course meal, barbecue or a hog roast. The evening reception is spent in the Great Tythe Barn, with its soft lighting, stage and wooden dancefloor, for a large party of up to 350 guests. WELLINGTON BARN, CALNE, WILTSHIRE This award-winning luxurious wedding venue, located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of Wiltshire, has won Wedding Venue of the Year three years consecutively at The English Wedding Awards. It’s a family-run business that has been operating as a wedding venue for 12 years, offering couples a variety of versatile spaces in which to marry. There are two areas that form the barn: the Old Barn and the much larger, more modern extension known as the New Barn. They can be used individually or together. Ceremonies can also take place here in the gardens, where there’s an on-site pagoda and space for a marquee if required. Up to 160 guests can be seated, but most couples who book at the venue invite between 80 and 100 day guests, with 40 to 60 more arriving in the evening.
