THE BARN AT UPCOTE, CHELTENHAM, GLOUCESTERSHIRE This wedding and events venue, set on a secluded, family-run farm, is home to a collection of beautifully renovated old stone barns arranged around a central grass courtyard. The unrivalled views of the rolling Cotswold countryside beyond create the ideal photographic backdrop. Couples can decide how best to use the barns to suit their special day. Ceremonies take place in the Threshing Barn, which is also often used for the wedding breakfast, with a choice of round or trestle tables, for up to 100 guests. The recently built Sheep Shed makes a stylish bar area that’s ideal for post-ceremony drinks, and The Old Grain Store is the perfect space in which to host the reception for up to 150 loved ones. Guests can also mingle in the Cart Lodge outdoor area for a drinks reception following the ceremony, and during the evening, there’s the option of enjoying a hog roast or barbecue on the gravel area next to The Old Grain Store. THE GATHERING BARN, WARMINSTER, WILTSHIRE This bespoke wedding barn and events venue can be hired exclusively from Thursday morning until Sunday afternoon, including accommodation that’s suitable for between six and eight guests. A newly refurbished cottage is soon to be available, providing guest accommodation for another eight loved ones, and there’s also a paddock that can be used to camp in. It gives couples the space and freedom to create an individual occasion, with any professional company allowed to use the catering kitchen and bar (subject to approval), with no corkage charge. The barn is set around a south-facing courtyard in a glorious location, with stunning vistas, creating wonderful photo opportunities. The venue produces its own electricity, powered by the sun, and is an ideal choice for both summer and winter nuptials because it benefits from a wood burner and underfloor heating. Ceremonies take place in The Long Barn or in the Middle Barn for up to 120 guests. The Long Barn seats up to 120 loved ones for the wedding breakfast, while The Middle Barn hosts up to 80. There’s space to hold up to 200 guests standing, ideal for a larger wedding reception. ❤ We love… the Bridal Suite, included in the hire price, for the bridal party to get ready in and for the newlyweds to spend their first night in.
