Your Glos and Wilts Wedding - Apr/May 2019 (Issue 14)

A NATURAL CONNECT ION Stacey Reay and Jessica Arenelli (known as Jess) married on 5 th November, 2018, at the Pittville Pump Room. The reception was held at the Kings Head Cirencester. We both fell in love with the Pittville Pump Room because of the architecture. We knew it was the one as soon as we saw it. We chose the wine cellar in the Kings Head Cirencester for our reception because it was a quirky, intimate room that provided a good contrast to the grandeur of the Pittville Pump Room. S tacey and Jess first met at work, and after a tricky start, they started dating after Jess sent Stacey a text at the Christmas party. “When we started getting to know each other, we realised we had similar interests and goals,” the couple tell us. Six months later, they became engaged after a surprise proposal at home. “I got in from work to see Jess sitting nervously at her desk,” Stacey explains. “She glanced over at a chalk board, on which she had written ‘this might be crazy, but you’re the one – will you marry me?’ It was accompanied with an antique engagement ring, a bunch of flowers and a packet of Rolos – it’s hard to say no to that! Later on, when I got Jess’ engagement ring, I proposed in our garden that I had decorated with candles. The rest, as they say, is history.” Here the couple tell us more about their copper and berry-coloured big day… Stacey and Jess’ special day was themed with berry colours and copper touches Images courtesy of Nikki Kirk Photography “Our day was made extra special by Stacey’s cousin Issac, who looked after the guests on arrival, acted as the ring-bearer and made a meaningful speech about how our happiness had made him believe in marriage.” – Stacey and Jess.
