Your Glos and Wilts Wedding - Apr/May 2019 (Issue 14)
We saw Stonehouse Court Hotel at a wedding fair held at the Cheltenham Racecourse. When we visited, we loved the beautiful gardens and stylish rooms and couldn’t resist the opportunity to get married outside. We had lilac and white flowers placed in small jars decorated with ribbon tied to the chairs on our top table. Our florist was incredible. She created exactly what we had discussed with her – our pastel-coloured bouquets looked so pretty! We hosted a wedding cricket tea in the evening and asked family and a few close friends to bake cakes and make desserts. The team at Stonehouse Court Hotel did the catering for us. “One of Jack’s favourite parts of the wedding planning was sampling the Confetti Cakes!” – Bethany “My bridesmaids and I stayed in the bridal suite the night before and got ready there the next morning, which was a highlight for me!” – Bethany We knew the owners of Confetti Cakes in Tewkesbury who we asked to make our cake. We decided on a three-tier sponge design incorporating chocolate and Guinness, Baileys and vanilla. It was modern yet simple and topped with flowers. 48
