Catanger Llamas was established in 1995 and has spread llama love ever since! Our llamas are the stars of the show, each very much an individual character guaranteed to make you smile. What do you offer for hen or stag dos? We offer a unique hen activity with farm or half-day treks available all year round in the mornings, afternoons and summer evenings for special days out. ‘Llama Karma’ should definitely be prescribed! What’s your favourite part of the job? Being at the birth of these fantastic animals is amazing! It’s a privilege to watch these creatures grow, train them and then watch them go out with our customers while making them smile. I love watching the llamas’ effect on our visitors and how they can lift a mood. Check out: www.llamatrekking.co.uk EMILY GARRETT, OWNER OF FLEUR’S FLORISTRY What makes the business stand out? Fortunately, my business grew organically from word of mouth after making flower crowns on my hen do and bouquets for my wedding in 2021. I was approached by an old friend who was engaged at the time, asking if she could support my small business and order her flowers through me. Little did she know that I hadn’t yet created said business and she was the beginning of my company. Without her wanting to support local businesses, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Before floristry, I was in the dance and entertainment industry. So at my workshops, I like to start with fun little games or quick-fire questions to get the hen do started and break the ice between those just meeting for the first time. What do you offer for hen or stag dos? I offer a fully interactive flower crown workshop for those hens looking to get crafty to create something to keep and wear. My hens will have a full hour and a half to learn how to create a stunning crown, with a choice of colours, florals and designs to make them truly unique at a venue or home of their choosing. I also offer more intricate workshops for those hens and bridesmaids who wish to create crowns that they can wear on the special day. We even have DIY boxes that can be posted out for more chilled, private affairs. What’s your favourite part of the job? I love meeting new people and watching their creativity flow. I always pick up new colour combinations or ways of combining florals just by watching others freely create. It’s also lovely when hens that maybe had a little self-doubt create the most beautiful crowns and surprise themselves with how they look afterwards.
