Your East Midlands Wedding - October/November 2023 (Issue 58)

Healing Manor was amazing with our food! We had a menu tasting session a few months before the day, and the food was sensational. On the day, it was just as excellent and certainly didn’t disappoint. Ollie loves cars and is a true petrolhead, so he arrived in his BMW M2 polished and gleaming with an ivory ribbon. One of my favourite images is me sitting on the bonnet sharing a kiss. I couldn’t believe he let me sit on the car – it must be love! Our venue stylist created a stunning backdrop for the vows with a beautiful golden LED sign which read ‘It was always you’ – which was so accurate! The team strung lights down the aisle and in the reception room as well as bulb lights outside in the patio area outside the barn. We had beautiful cake with a Victoria sponge and raspberry jam, coconut sponge with white chocolate ganache and chocolate sponge with a chocolate ganache. I absolutely adore flowers; they were essential to the day. I wanted my bouquet to have roses in various cream and pink shades with a variety of foliage to add lots of texture. The tables were decorated with log slices, dusty blue cheesecloth runners and bud vases filled with cream roses, eucalyptus and gypsophila. Gold candlesticks added height and glass tealight holders added a gorgeous glow. 32
