It was an honour and a privilege that he gave me away. A funny moment during the day was when my shoe fell apart and needed to be glued on mid photos. My auntie Denise also made the day special; she has not only looked out for me but has had a significant impact on my life with our connection and friendship. The wedding coordinator, Charlotte Darch, at Barnsdale Gardens ensured our day was perfect. We went to the Peak District for our honeymoon and had an action-packed adventure in our motorhome – it was simply perfect and gave us some time alone. We made such a connection with our celebrant Ruby right from the start. She got to know us and captured our love in her proceedings so perfectly. She worked hard in creating such a personal ceremony, which was breathtaking. Our photographer Frankie captured the day perfectly and gave up a lot of her time making sure everything was perfect – I would have no hesitation in saying she is simply the best photographer around! Having an intimate wedding allowed for a stress-free environment that was all about us. We both felt so in love, happy and excited for the future on the day. We ended up having a secret wedding, which made the day even more special. We planned to tell the rest of our families the good news once the Covid restrictions had lifted, and arrange a belated wedding event so everyone could finally be part of our day. 36
