DREAM DAY What advice can you share when it comes to planning our wedding budget? When setting a budget, pick an amount you’re comfortable with and use your wedding date to calculate how long you have to save per month – also add savings or contributions. Make sure to talk about what’s important to you both. Is it the location and venue, wine, shoes, band or cake? Think about what would make the day truly yours and what you’re prepared to put chunks of your budget aside for. Make these a priority in your research to get a good understanding of how much it will cost. Keep a spreadsheet or tracker to keep on top of the budget and know what’s left to spend. Allocate some time each week to go through all the different aspects together and decide what’s next to organise – it will create even more quality time together. Laura Harrison | The Joy Planner | www.thejoyplanner.co.uk THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT I’m having young children at my wedding and I want to keep them entertained throughout the day. How can I achieve this? Guests attending a wedding with children always fear the worse and worry about keeping them entertained. Take away that fear and ensure the children have as much, if not more, fun than the parents themselves. We’re qualified event nannies who entertain and supervise kids for as little or as long as needed. The team provide a mobile creche set-up suitable for all ages including babies to 12-years-old. We’re also more than happy to change nappies, give bottles and follow any routine you have. Our nannies come to the venue with a whole host of activities ranging from soft play, pop-up tents, sensory/musical toys, books, board games, non-messy craft, ride-ons and a movie for the evening. Some parents choose to bring the children’s pyjamas into the creche, which allows them to be lifted straight to bed after a fun-packed day.
