When couples travel down the stunning driveway, they’re welcomed by the beautiful building and immaculate surroundings. There’s a large sunny courtyard to the rear which has plenty of seating for guests to relax and take in the views – the beautiful lawn is perfect for picnics, lawn games and relaxing. The Medieval walled garden, with aromatic herbs and flowers, creates the perfect backdrop to wedding photography. There’s numerous secret doorways, stocks, and a drystone wall love seat for incredible shots. These areas are kept immaculate by volunteers who look after the wealth of wildflowers and plants. Full of history and rustic charm, the barn also boasts contemporary areas including a bar, rest facilities and the courtyard room, which can be used for different purposes such as a play area, mini-cinema, photo room or chill-out zone. Wedding ceremonies occur in The Gallery with 96 guests and is complete with 15 th -century beams and natural lighting – this space can be transformed for a reception with 66 people in the evening. Or why not opt for The Servery, a bright room leading to the outside courtyard that can hold 36 people? WE LOVE… When couples book the venue for their wedding, they’re offered a free tasting session to try some delicious dishes. With an emphasis on quality and personal service, the venue offers a flexible approach where nearlyweds can tailor a package by picking a wedding menu, drinks package and room hire that suits their requirements. Ceremonies take place in the Barn Restaurant or Newton Suite surrounded by 120 loved ones while receptions occur in one of two spaces.
