Richard and Victoria’s wedding featured hues of dusty blue and burgundy Images courtesy of James Mottram Wedding Photography elegance T IMELESS 37 R ichard and Victoria first crossed paths on Tinder back in 2016 and instantly hit it off. “We always had an easy time finding something to talk about over text and decided to meet up at The Exchange Bar in Leicester where we had the best first date and couldn’t stop talking”, says Victoria. Two months later, she was discussing Richard with a friend when she realised how strong her feelings were for him; he really was the one for her. Richard knew she was his soulmate during a stag do to Vegas, where he started to miss Victoria. Fast forward two years, Richard popped the question during a romantic, candlelit dinner. Victoria comments, “We’d spoken briefly about marriage and both wanted to say ‘I do’ in the future, but we’d never really discussed it apart from that. He cooked an impressive Spanish tapas meal and halfway through dinner, he disappeared off upstairs and snuck the ring box back down with him. I didn’t realise anything was going on until he held my hand and got down on one knee – I was completely shocked! There was so much happiness and tears that we never ended up finishing the lovely meal he’d made!” Here Victoria shares details about their special day... REAL WEDDINGS 37
