Your East Midlands Wedding - April/May 2020 (Issue 37)
We saw love letters at a wedding fayre and loved it, we wanted something different to the standard white ones that were also in keeping with the rustic look. I always wanted a princess-style dress that moved when I danced. When I saw the Marissa wedding dress 5504 by Morilee, which had different layers – I knew it was perfect. The diamante around the waist added just enough detail without it being too much. Mike, the groomsmen and our dads wore matching navy-blue Ted Baker suits with ties to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. Mike wore a waistcoat to stand out. The bridesmaids wore lilac grey floor-length dresses and white roses in their hair. Our band was called Shine On, they stepped in two days before the wedding as the lead singer of the previous band slipped a disk and couldn’t perform. We liked Shine On as the singer also played the trumpet and they did a good mix of old and new songs. We had a saxophonist at the reception, which made the drinks reception stand out – all our guests loved the Ibiza vibe it created. REAL WEDDINGS 37
