Our immediate family joined us outside for sparklers; this was good fun and we got some amazing photos from it. We had a DJ in the evening which brought everyone together, having a dance and a good time. We had some pride props everyone could use for dancing and photos – it was great fun and a big hit with the children. Our bridesmaids wore sage-green dresses. I felt surprisingly calm and excited, and Becky was excited but nervous on the day. TOP TIP: Plan things as a couple, get involved and have some fun with it. I know it can be stressful, but we had more fun than stress doing it together. Keep calm on the day and make sure you have a great support network around you to help with tasks. We were so lucky at The Boat House to have the amazing Belinda to help us throughout the day. Without her It wouldn’t have gone as smoothly. 38
