With more than 250 finalists across 28 different categories, Swynford Manor was one of 10 venues in the UK to be shortlisted for ‘Romantic Wedding Venue of the Year’ – and the only one to be recognised from the Cambridgeshire region. Located on the borders of Essex and Suffolk in Newmarket, Swynford Manor boasts an impressive history dating back to the 1800s when the famous wordsmith Lord Byron was known to pen his romantic poetry under one of the trees within the seven acres of grounds. Now, the boutique manor house is an exclusive-use wedding venue with an elegant monochrome interior, plush furnishings and views across the Cambridgeshire countryside. Sian Parry, the venue manager at Swynford Manor, said: “To have walked away from The Nation’s Wedding Awards with the title of ‘Romantic Wedding Venue of the Year’ is a huge honour, especially considering the other amazing venues that were also shortlisted. The entire team at Swynford Manor works tirelessly to deliver unforgettable weddings to hundreds of couples every year, and we couldn’t be prouder to be recognised for our stunning venue that all our guests love. We look forward to seeing more couples get married in 2025 and providing them with the very best experience possible on their special day.” Discover more at www.swynfordmanor.com CONGRATULATIONS The Good Hotel Guide has revealed its annual list of Cé sar winners. Craig tells us: “Entering the Wedding Industry Awards 2025 for the first time, I was mainly looking forward to a fun evening of networking with the incredible wedding suppliers who make our industry so special. To my surprise, I qualified as a finalist in the ‘Best Wedding Photographer 2025’ category for the East of England, which felt like an achievement in itself. As the awards ceremony unfolded, I listened as Damien, our host, announced three highly commended recipients. When the final name wasn’t mine, I thought, at least I gave it a shot. Then, in the brief pause before the winner was revealed, the room fell silent, and I heard my name. I was completely stunned. Winning such a prestigious accolade felt surreal and deeply humbling. With the national awards coming up, in which all the regional winners are automatically entered, I’m holding onto that same sense of hope and excitement, dreaming big for what’s to come.” Head over to www.craiggreenwoodphotography.co.uk for more information. www.craiggreenwoodphotography.co.uk 8
