Your East Anglian Wedding - October/November 2024 (Issue 69)

Q&A Beauty Local experts offer advice on how to look your big-day best SEASONAL ROMANCE What hairstyles would you suggest for my October wedding? Personally, I think the time of year shouldn’t affect the hairstyle that you choose. With the right hairstylist and products, your dream style can be created at any time of the year. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and that you feel like you! Don’t choose a style because you think it’s bridal or will last all day. Choose your style because it’s the hair that you’ve always dreamed of. I would quite often recommend my brides to use clip-in hair extensions to ensure that the style holds all day, including all of the dancing in the evening. The current trend for wedding hair is mirroring the general trend in hair, which makes the most of natural movement and texture and enhances the natural beauty of the locks. Think loose and relaxed styles that appear understated and effortless while complementing and enhancing the overall wedding look. These styles are popular and should last throughout the day. Tousled curls that cascade and frame the face and messy buns work well, rather than overly neat or tight styles. We shouldn’t forget those timeless and classic wedding styles, including pleats and chignons; they are always a favourite choice with brides. Sleeker styles like a bun, both low and high, are also popular and will showcase the beauty of the hair. The most important thing to remember is that it’s your day, so wear your hair how you want. We recommend trying a few different styles ahead of your wedding to see what works best for you. Lisa Ashford www.hairloungehadleigh.co.uk 84
