You’ll doubtless have plenty of advice from well-meaning friends and relatives about what should and shouldn’t be part of your plans and how the day should go but my advice is to listen attentively, then do what YOU want. Don’t upset anyone but never forget this is one day that really is all about you. JULIE’S TOP TIP Make a list of the people you want to include in each family portrait and have a bridesmaid or friend who knows your relatives well to call out their names as the photographer won’t have met them before. This is a big bonus as it will help speed up the process so you can get on with your reception! BEN’S TOP TIP Find a photographer whose photos you like and then meet up with them in person or via Zoom to see if you click with them. Finding a photographer that feels more like a friend will make you feel so much more comfortable in front of the camera. PHOTOGRAPHY 47
