Your East Anglian Wedding - Page number 35 - October/November 2021 (Issue 51)

My cascading bouquet included sweet avalanche roses, blue thistles, white lisianthus and gypsophila with a Mickey Mouse head hidden amongst the flowers. My bridesmaids had smaller hand-held versions dotted with Mickey pins. I created the table names myself using an image from each of the different Disney films overlayed with sheet music of a famous song from the movie. Our table plan was incredibly bespoke with each table representing a Disney film. It took more than a year to finish but I was so pleased with the end result and many of our guests remarked that they’d never seen anything like it. For the place names each guest was drawn as a Disney character and had their own individual picture of themselves to take away. John and his groomsmen wore blue tweed suits with hunter green ties and pocket squares to complement the bridesmaids’ dresses. The pageboys also looked the part in outfits to match. We went for a mixture of tall and short floral centrepieces. The bridesmaids wore hunter green dresses with a diamond design from Motee Maids. I chose the dresses as they were each able t o pick their own neckline so they all looked different and felt comfortable too. “We gave our guests cookies as favours in the shape of different Disney characters or features from whichever movie their table was named after. The top table was The Little Mermaid so we had Ariel, Flounder and ocean-themed ones.” REAL WEDDINGS 35
