Family and friends baked cakes for dessert. My sister made an ace vegan chocolate coffee cake, my nan did her famous flapjacks and family friend Dawnie made loads of different cakes. It was one of my favourite parts of the day. We couldn’t have had the day we had without my mum Julie. She lived and breathed the wedding in the months leading up to it; emailing suppliers, buying little decorative bits, tidying and coordinating on the day. When it got dark everyone stood out on the field under the stars with sparklers; we didn’t get a photo but it was really pretty. 34
